The Bank has 3 business divisions - Corporate, Retail and Treasury – through which it caters to its customers across India – comprising retail customers, MSMEs, NRIs as well as large corporates and institutions.

Case Study 2 – Finacle Version Upgrade
Background: One of the new generation private sector banks in India. Who has a customer base of approximately 39 million across the country, including individuals, large corporations, various government entities and PSUs., has decided to version upgrade their existing core banking solutions Finacle 10.2.09 to 10.2.25. The project involves UAT Testing of Finacle solutions i.e., Finacle Core Banking, and QualityKiosk Technologies Pvt. Ltd. is appointed as a Testing Service Partner to provide the testing service.
Challenges
Product & Scheme Mapping – “With unique and diverse customization needs, the bank encounters mapping issues related to products, schemes, interest table codes, and charges.”
Testing on migrated data – Data mapping and integrity issue.
Old version & multiple version of Requirement Documents – Ambiguity in Understanding, difficulty in prioritization, increased in defects and rework, traceability issue.
Test Data – Increased in efforts for test data creation
Defect SLA - Defect Fixing SLA was not followed
Solution
Comprehensive Coverage – Validations with Parameters documents to ensure mapping is done as per Bank requirements.
Testing Approach – Scenarios are planned and executed on newly created and on migrated data to ensure system functionalities work correctly on migrated data
Requirement Gathering - Gathered information related to Bank Functionalities and tried mapping the same with Finacle Menus.
Test Data Management – Provided the required test data type to Bank for taking out dump from database.

Case Study 3 – Merger & Migration
Background: In 2019, to reduce the amount of capital, it needs to put into the 3 Major PSBs i.e. Dena Bank, Vijaya Bank & Bank of Baroda, RBI decided to merge the 3 Banks – which inadvertently resulted into a INDIA’s first - ever – three – way consolidation of Banks “AMALGAMATION PROJECT” and Vijaya Bank and Dena Bank got merged in BOB.

Case Study 4 – Functional & Automation
Background: Saraswat Bank is one of the leading co-operative banking institutions based in Maharashtra, India and operating as a co-operative society since 14 September 1918. Bank has decided to upgrade their existing core banking solutions (SWIFTWeb) to Finacle. The project involves UAT Testing of various Finacle solutions i.e., Finacle Core Banking, Retail IB, Corporate IB, Mobile Banking & Treasury and QualityKiosk Technologies Pvt. Delayed Delivery from Infosys(Around 1 month) than given timeline

Earlier Bank has provided List of Menus to be executed, but later during execution around 100+ menus were marked as Out of scope.

Background: The objective of this engagement is to undertake Performance Testing of Finacle 10.2.25 to ensuring acceptable response time, hardware usage, and transaction success rate.

Degradation of Application Performance- This is due to maximum load that causes high hardware utilization when the number of concurrent users/requests increased.

Load Test- To perform load and soak test for 5000 concurrency and critical scenarios & APIs.
